The 9th Bridge Cyber Research & Educational Workshop also known as “9B C.R.E.W.” consists of a hands-on Cyber Security/ Network Security curriculum geared towards exposing inner-city youth, young adults and persons interested in transitioning into the Information Technology and Cyber Security fields.
9B C.R.E.W. sessions consist of a three month workshop held twice a year to raise the awareness of Cyber Security and to generate interest in this field. There are three tracks within the 9B C.R.E.W: Intro To Cyber Security, Cyber Security and Network Security. These sessions also include discussions around Cyber Security trends and events which tie into the progressive curriculum. With the 9B C.R.E.W program we will ignite technical curiosity, discuss the cyber threat landscape and generate innovative thoughts as we lead the charge in sharing cyber related technical knowledge.
9th Bridge Jacksonville is a proud partner with Grow With Google as a Google Certificate Scholarship distributor.
This partnership enhances our 9B C.R.E.W. program and gives us the ability to provide technology based course material for technical concentrations such as Cyber Security, IT Support, Project Management, UX Design and more. This program is geared towards helping individuals acquire new skills, implement those skills, improve resume gain interviewing skills and potentially in-roads to a career in technology.
Enrollment Requirements for the 9B C.R.E.W. program:
– No technical experience required to start the courses
– Fill out the scholarship application form in its entirety
– Provide 1 letter of recommendation (upload within the scholarship form)
– Answer essay question (found on scholarship form):
